2016: A Year in Review
Well folks, we can truly say that 2016 was one of our best years yet at May Flowers! We always like to look back on a great year as we're looking forward to an even more fabulous new one, so here are a few of the highlights from 2016.
Shop Records
We created gorgeous bouquets for 120 brides this year
Over 120 feet of greenery garlands were handcrafted in the shop for a single wedding
We participated in seven styled shoots
Our flowers were featured on several wedding blogs: Every Last Detail, Carats & Cake, Bride Chic, and Elegant Wedding
We're calling 2016 The Year of the Arbor because we got to design so many! From romantic fabric to fabulous swags to lush garlands, we love it all!
One of the most exciting events of 2016 was the addition of Bethany to our May Flowers team! She graduated in May 2016 from Belhaven University with a BFA in Visual Art and we've been so thrilled to have her as a designer and resident artist.
Her favorite flowers are Juliette roses, hanging amaranthus, and marigolds and although she loves all floral design, her favorite things to create are organic, natural bridesmaid bouquets.
We were also able to make some pretty fantastic installations this year - some of our favorites were a giant wreath, hanging flower boxes, greenery backdrops, and an incredible forest gully-inspired cake!
Styled shoots are always highlights of our year and we got to participate in some really fun ones this year!
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of our wonderful brides, vendors, friends, and families for making 2016 a truly remarkable year for all of us at May Flowers. We're looking forward to many more beautiful weddings and creative collaborations in 2017 and we can't wait to share them with you!
